Advocate Sathi

Terms of Use

Last updated: 21 October 2026 · Version 2026-10-v3

These terms apply to the Advocate Sathi app and website, provided by [firm name - set in admin Settings -> Legal pages]. By creating an account you agree to them and to the Privacy Policy.

1. What the app does

Advocate Sathi is a practice tool for advocates: a case diary, cause lists, court display boards with call-out alerts, case status, court calendars, bare acts and calculators. It brings together information published by the courts and tribunals on their official websites.

Court requests run from your phone. When you search case status, open a cause list or let the app update your diary, the app on your phone fetches the court's public pages over your own internet connection, just as a browser on your phone would (the court's website sees your connection). Our server prepares each request and reads the court's reply. This uses a small amount of your mobile data. To protect the courts' websites, the number of court searches an account can make per hour and per day is limited.

2. Not a substitute for the court's own record

Court websites can be late, change their format, or be unavailable, and information can be read wrongly. Summaries of orders ("what happened", to-dos) are written by an AI model and can be wrong. Alerts can be delayed or missed (for example when the court's display board stops, or your phone blocks notifications). Always verify dates, orders and listings with the court's own record and do not rely on the app alone for appearances, limitation or deadlines. The app does not give legal advice.

3. Your account

4. Plans and trial

New accounts get a free trial. Paid plans, their prices and limits are shown in the app; changes to a plan apply from your next renewal and you will be told in advance. Purchases made through Google Play follow Google Play's refund rules.

5. Availability and changes

We work to keep the service running but do not promise it will be uninterrupted. We may change or stop features, especially when a court changes its website.

6. Liability

To the extent the law allows, we are not liable for any loss arising from reliance on information in the app, from delayed or missed alerts, or from the unavailability of court websites. Our total liability for any claim is limited to the amount you paid us in the 12 months before it.

7. Ending your account

You can delete your account at any time (Profile → Delete my account, or on the web). We may suspend an account that breaks these terms.

8. Law and disputes

These terms are governed by the laws of India. Contact us first at [e-mail - set in admin Settings]; the courts at [city] have jurisdiction.
